My background

While working in academia, I started blending my passion for writing with my fascination for science by freelancing as a science journalist for national and international outlets.

Once I had obtained my PhD, I fully committed to science communication as a career path by joining a medical writing agency in Hamburg, Germany. As part of a small and dedicated team, I got to work on a variety of projects in different therapy areas.

When in 2017 life brought me to London (UK), I became a scientific editor with Nature Communications, which is part of the Nature group of journals. The insight into manuscript writing and publishing I received there has been invaluable to the work I do. After a few years of working for Springer Nature, I joined one of the leading medical communications agencies in the UK.

Taking all my work experience together, I founded Eckcomms Ltd. in December 2020.

My CV is available upon request.
